- I grew up on a dairy farm near Lakeville, Minnesota, with my family, some cows, and plenty of room to roam. After high school, I attended the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, where I completed majors in English, Communication Studies, and Secondary Education. After student teaching at Apple Valley High School, I landed at Nicollet Jr. High teaching seventh grade. Since then, I have been teaching at Burnsville High School. I currently teach world lit. and journalism, coach the speech team and advise the international travel club. I enjoy reading, traveling, hiking, and going to concerts! My day is always better if I start out with a cup of tea.
